REMOVING THE TYRE FROM THE RIM

Removing a tyre from a split rim

• Locate the start of the split in the ring and use chalk to mark the position on the tyre.
  
• Insert the first lever between the join in the ring.
  
• Push down on the lever.
  
• Locate the manufacturer's notch on the inside of the ring and insert the second lever into the notch.
  
• Pull up on the lever & lever the ring up and out.
  
• Work the tyre lever around the ring to lift it out of the rim.
  

Position the valve to enable the rim to be removed from the tyre
